Life mentor shares secrets to longevity on World Health Day
HOUSTON -- World Health Day is April 7, marking the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948.
This year's theme is aging and health, focusing on how good health can help us all live fuller and more productive lives as we age.
Master Del Pe travels the world doing just that. As founder of BELife and the MDP Foundation, he has traveled the world teaching more than 150,000 people in 85 countries the secrets to longevity and health.
Master Del Pe said, "I think investing in good health is going to pay dividends at the end of one's life."
In honor of World Health Day, Master Del Pe will give a free 90-minute online lecture from 7 to 8:30 a.m. on how people can live a longer, healthier, more youthful life. He combines the best of Eastern philosophy with Western science.
Need more energy to make it though the day? He recommends breathing techniques. "You inhale, hold, exhale and hold, and you alternate that for five or 10 minutes. You'll have a lot of energy after a few minutes," he said.
Having trouble sleeping? He said you can find deep slumber in less time with a special synchronized breathing technique.
He said, "If you do this, three or four sets, you can sleep really deep and well rested."
Master Del Pe added that one of the biggest mistakes many of us make is focusing solely on diet and exercise. He believes inner happiness and a positive outlook are just as important.
He explained, "Healthy aging and extending your youthful life with a better outlook of how you age how you like yourself and others around you are probably the best components of living well."
On World Health Day, Master Del Pe will also share his five secrets of super-centenarians: fresh food, family and friends, faith, functionality and fun.
