MDP Foundation celebrates World Health Day with a Free Online Lecture on the Higher Science of Longevity
In the 21st century, health is determined by and contributes to broad social trends. Economies are globalizing and more and more people are living in the cities to find work opportunities.
The pattern of families and technology experienced an unprecedented surge of evolution.
Around the world people are living longer. Considered to be the biggest social transformation is the ageing population. By the year 2050, there will be more older people than children and more people of very old age than ever before.
Statistics revealed that the number of people today aged 60 and over has doubled since 1980.
The number of people aged 80 years will almost quadruple to 395 million between now and 2050.
Various questions will arise and the stereotypes of older people will be addressed such as
*older people can't take care of themselves
*older people can't do new things at work or play
*older people are no longer active and attractive
*older people should accept illness as part of ageing
But the world is changing and these stereotypes holds us back.
In line with these, MDP Foundation and Master Del Pe rallies toward answering these realities.
